I'm not aware of issues with the servo motor, if you don't need to remove it because your replace your muffler, then just keep it. The original muffler with the flap is OK, except that it's large and heavy
.
Some members here have experienced a certain loss of torque when replacing the muffler and eliminating the flap. With this, I guess there is no reason todo that except that a smaller muffler may look "nicer"
The bike I'm working on currently has got it's original muffler destroyed by an accident. So it does not exist any more and has been replaced by the last owner. The servo motor and it's mount are obsolete with this, and this is my reason to replace it with the emulator.
